Our longest running service is our After School Club, which is for children on the autism spectrum. Activities are carefully planned to suit every individual child’s needs in order to meet the outcomes of their care plans. Staff with a high level of expertise in the autism spectrum operate this service.
The children come to the After School Club to chill out after a long day at school, and we make sure to make it as fun and relaxed as possible. We run a range of activities, including cooking, baking, arts and crafts, soft play, sensory, video games, movies, jigsaws etc., but are also happy for the children to explore our facilities and make their own fun. After all, it's understandable to want to be independent after a day in a school class.
Our After School Club is a great way to encourage the children to socialise, have fun and make new friendships. Spending time with others, along with our trained staff, will help build up their confidence in social situations.
